Chad Brown

• Played college football as a Linebacker in Colorado but was a second round draft pick for the Pittsburgh Steelers
• NFL Linebacker for the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Seattle Seahawks, and the New England Patriots
• In his career he played in three Pro Bowls as well as Superbowl XXX (Pittsburgh Steelers)

Bruce Mathison

• Played for University of Nebraska as a Quarterback
• NFL Quarterback for the San Diego Chargers (twice), Buffalo Bills, Seattle Seahawks

Johnny “The Jet” Rodgers

• Punt Return Receiver, Pass Receiver, Running Back
• Played for University of Nebraska and was twice named the the College Football All-American Team
• Won the Walter Camp Award and the Heisman Trophy in 1972 for the most outstanding player in college football in the USA
• Rodgers returned seven punts for touchdowns in his college career, a feat that stood as the NCAA record for decades
• Although he was a first round draft pick of the San Diego Chargers, he signed a lucrative contract with the CFL Montreal Alouettes
• He won the CFL 1973 Outstanding Rookie of the Year, the Jeff Russel Memorial Trophy twice, and “All-Canadian” All-Star honours as he lead his team to win the Grey Cup in 1974
• He returned to the San Diego Chargers in 1977
• In 2002 he was voted University of Nebraska’s “Player of the Century” by Sports Illustrated
• He was ranked #44 on College Footballs’ 100 Greatest Players of All Time list
• He was ranked #23 on ESPN’s Top 25 Players In College Football History list
• He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2000 and voted the “Most Valuable Player” in the history of the Big Eight Conference
• Rodgers authored a book entitled “An Era of Greatness“ about the University of Nebraska football team during his playing days
• Johnny Rodgers continues to work with his alma mater to encourage athletes who dropped out of school to return and complete their educations and is currently creating a mentoring program for children with other football and sport professionals.
